Gundagai Rodeo

The Gundagai Rodeo on Saturday 30th November. It is a premier event on the national rodeo circuit, being held at the Gundagai Rodeo Grounds; O.I.Bell Drive.

As the final event on the 2013 ABCRA calendar, competition is fierce for those last national championship points, and the nation’s top cowboys and cowgirls will all be in town as part of their quest for a coveted national title. Spectacular action is guaranteed, from the finals of the blue-ribbon Open Bull Ride under lights in the main arena, down to the aspiring young cowboys in the Poddy Ride.

See Australia’s best cowgirls ‘turn and burn’ in the Barrel Race and experience all the thrills and spills of the Rope & Tie and Steer Wrestling finals.

For the first time, this year’s rodeo will run in conjunction with the “Boots, Hats, Saddles & Songs” country music talent quest. Some of the best undiscovered acts from around NSW and Victoria will take to the rodeo stage in front of a panel of celebrity judges. The top 3 acts will perform live in the main rodeo arena from 7pm, with the crowd choosing the overall winner, who will walk away with more than $500 in cash and prizes.
