ANZAC Day - Gundagai

Anzac Day, 25 April, is one of Australia’s most important national occasions. It marks the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during the First World War.

In Gundagai, the day begins with a Dawn Service at 6:00am at Anzac Grove with Gundagai's 7th Light Horse Troop in attendance.

The Main Street service takes place at the Cenotaph Memorial in Sheridan Street, starting at about 11:00am. Locals and visitors are invited to meet outside the Family Hotel at 10:30am to begin the march/walk up the main street to the Cenotaph. The march is led by service people, schools and community organisations.

After the march locals and visitors are invited to enjoy a game of Two-Up at one of the licensed establishments in town!
