Celebrate Australia Day in Gundagai with a relaxed morning in the park, bringing the community together to reflect, respect and celebrate.

Australia Day in the Park will feature a community breakfast catered by the local Lions Club, live entertainment by The Gundayguys and local performer Riley Lott, and formal proceedings including awards and recognition of achievements. The event will also include a citizenship ceremony welcoming new Australian citizens.

The 2026 Australia Day Ambassador is Corey Payne, former NRL player, Founder of the Future Direction Network and 2013 NSW Young Australian of the Year.

Following the morning celebrations, the day will continue with a pool party at the Gundagai Swimming Pool, hosted by Mawang.

This is a free, family friendly event and all locals and visitors are welcome.
