Housed in the old Assembly Hall, next to the Coffee Pedaler, opposite the Gundagai Theatre.

The Australian Pen Museum has over 3,000 items with one dating back 4,000 years and includes documents over 450 years old. Quite a number are unique and include numerous, rare historical writings.

A 1920 school is contained within the Hall, furnished with desks and childrens excersie books, slate boards and all manner of teachers aids and instructions.

The building has been carefully restored to its original form over the past six years, from its purchase in 2016 and retains many original fittings including wall candle sconce's from the 1881 build and lights and power outlets from the introduction of electricity in 1928. Many people have donated artefacts to the Pen Museum. In good faith this institution remains for future generations to study and enjoy.

Conveniences are located at the rear of the Hall with ramps allowing access to those physicall impaired or wheel chair bound. Scooters can negotitate to the school at the rear.

*This Museum does not recieve any financial support from Government or any thewr institutions. We depend on public donations to pay commercial rates and electrictity and to this end, we ask a small donation of $5.00 if you are able. Concession, children and students are admitted free.
